Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our warehouse operations in Branchburg, NJ. The ideal candidate will assist in managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is required to communicate with suppliers and internal teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
• Assist in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
• Ensure accurate inventory control, stock rotation, and proper documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain and enforce warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
• Monitor warehouse layout and organization to optimize space utilization and efficiency.
• Inventory and Logistics Coordination
• Track inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and report discrepancies.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and manage supply chain operations.
• Assist in managing inbound and outbound logistics, including scheduling shipments and optimizing routes.
Team Leadership and Communication
• Support and train warehouse staff to improve efficiency and performance.
• Act as a liaison between warehouse personnel and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate with Chinese-speaking vendors, partners, and team members to ensure clear understanding and execution of warehouse tasks.
• Compliance and Reporting
• Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Assist in preparing reports on inventory, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Identify areas for improvement and suggest process enhancements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Language: Must be fluent in Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
• Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Work in a warehouse environment, which may include varying temperatures.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
