We are a leading company dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions, specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a Warehouse Manager for our Chicago headquarters to oversee warehouse operations and provide technical support, ensuring efficient management and maintenance of components.
Job Summary:
This role combines warehouse operations management with hands-on technical skills to support the maintenance and repair of components related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse management and basic troubleshooting and repair capabilities. Familiarity with the renewable energy industry is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and optimize space utilization.
Coordinate with field engineers and clients to ensure timely delivery of components and equipment.
Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to avoid overstock or shortages.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
Manage the procurement of critical components and materials.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Technical Support & Repairs
Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on components and equipment related to BESS.
Provide technical guidance to field service teams and assist with component installation and usage.
Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize maintenance and repair processes.
Document all repair activities and maintain equipment maintenance logs.
Field Service Support
Ensure rapid allocation of components and equipment to support field service engineers.
Assist with emergency logistics to provide timely support for project sites.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse management experience; candidates with equipment repair or technical support experience are preferred.
Familiarity with renewable energy or electrical systems is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Proficient in warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
Hands-on technical skills with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts (certification preferred).
Language & Communication
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Familiarity with Mandarin, with the ability to communicate fluently with Mandarin speakers.
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license and ability to support occasional short-distance transportation needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in repairing BESS or similar technologies.
Previous experience in the renewable energy or electrical equipment industry.
Forklift operation or other warehouse equipment certifications.
